It all started in 2016...
Helle Dannemarre, owner of Mouse & Pen Illustration, sat on the steps of the family's town house in beautiful and historic Ebeltoft. Here she drew and sold her posters. Here, the many passers-by discovered Helle, and were taken by the unique atmosphere and the life-affirming messages in the hand-drawn motifs. All posters were torn away and a potential was discovered.
Subsequently, the local shops in the city also began to show an interest in Helle's hand-drawn posters and the message behind them. At the time, Helle was very overwhelmed by how people were interested in her posters and that they wanted to sell them in her shop. Sales went quickly, and now Mouse & Pen is in 180 stores throughout Denmark and 50 abroad.
Mouse & Pen doesn't just consist of posters to this day. Now Helles offers her illustrations as both large and small cards, telegrams, on cups, guest posters, labels, etc. The list is long and only getting longer.
The hallmark of Mouse & Pen's popular posters and illustrations is Helle's love of retro and the nostalgic streak. She lets her personality shine through in her drawings. The illustrations are drawn with a hint of imperfection, which many love and admire. Furthermore, her motifs are drawn with a lovely naivety that characterize positivity, joy for life and lots of smiles in everyday life.
Mouse & Pen Illustration is a family-run company based in Ebeltoft, where we have a store, office and drawing room under the same roof.

Helle Dannemarre is the owner of Mouse & Pen Illustration and she can of course be found at our stand at the Formland fair. It is Helle who sits and draws every single illustration.
